Un gigantesque incendie, en cours lundi soir, cause des dégâts terribles sur ce monument historique, le plus visité d'Europe. "Tout est en train de brûler. La charpente, qui date du XIXe siècle d’un côté et du XIIIe de l’autre, il n’en restera plus rien", a déploré André Finot, porte-parole de l'édifice. "Il faut voir si la voûte, qui protège la cathédrale, va être touchée ou pas", a-t-il ajouté. En début de soirée, la flèche s'est effondrée. Le feu, dont la gravité restait encore à déterminer, a pris aux alentours de 18h50 dans les combles de la cathédrale, actuellement en travaux.
