Images of emergency services at the scene where at least 13 people have been killed in a fire in a Spanish nightclub on Sunday morning. The toll could still rise as rescue workers sift through the debris. The fire appears to have broken out in a building housing the "Teatre" and "Fonda Milagros" clubs in the city of Murcia in southeastern Spain in the early morning hours. IMAGES

Images show the presence of Bulgarian police at the scene where 18 migrants were found dead in an abandoned truck, near the village of Lokorsko, 20 kilometres (12 miles) northeast of Bulgaria's capital Sofia. The vehicle "was illegally transporting around 40 migrants hidden under some wood", the interior ministry said. "Eighteen of them have died." It is believed to be one of the deadliest people smuggling incidents recorded in the country. The cause of the migrants' deaths has not been established. IMAGES
