How to blanch tomatoes

Description

Start by scoring a small cross in the base of the tomatoes. Use the tip of a knife to remove the base of the stalk. Plunge the tomatoes into a pan of rapidly boiling water to halt the cooking process. Peel the skin away from the tomato - if it does not come off easily simply return to the water and repeat the process.
